One of my favorite home organizing projects is to create a library. One day I just got tired of too many books and too little space. So I pulled all the books out of their “homes” and did a macro sort. Lots of categories emerged like: Design & Style, Storage Ideas, Farm & Food, Business Leadership, Family, Marriage, Time & Planning, etc.
I quickly observed I had to break up my library into different spaces within my office since I did not have one long wall of shelves to store them all.
I already had one built-in cubicle system but needed more space so I bought two new bookcases and broke up my library into three zones: Home, Business, & Spirit.
Then, I used handy shelf labels Trevor made for me to subcategorize.
I put a cozy table and 2 wing chairs in front of one of the shelves and now I even have a reading nook! I hope you’ve been inspired to create a library in your own home!
