Vicki's Testimonials
"I was introduced recently to a
delightfully gifted person, Vicki Norris of Restoring Order®.
Little did I know then, how much help Vicki would be to the
International Church of the Foursquare Gospel (ICFG).
Vicki's counsel to me personally and to my staff have proved to help
bring focus and clarify to the priorities of our mission. Her
optimism has inspired us to be more productive. She has the ability
to quickly analyze the whole picture, break it down into parts and
recommend ideas that bring about wonderful solutions.
I would highly recommend Vicki Norris of Restoring Order® to you!
You will be blessed and will benefit greatly from her passion and
expertise.

"I have been the managing partner of Top, Murphy and Company CPA
firm for the last 17 years. My business partner and I have
invested our lives in this firm from the beginning. I have a
tremendous load of responsibility and clients are counting on me
to come through for them.
Little by little over the years, I gave away a little time here,
stretched a boundary there, took on another person's work, and,
before I knew it, I had compromised all these years with an "it's
only temporary" attitude, and found that I had violated my own
core principles. I had "arrived" at what should be a season when I
could enjoy the fruits of my labor, and I found that I was not
even happy.
I finally had come to a place where I realized my approach had
failed. I now wanted what I had given up: my lunch break, my
weekends, and my personal life, and I longed to have more balance
in my life. I wanted to spend more time with my sons and
grandchildren. I was so overwhelmed, I was surrounded by piles of
paper and chaos, and I needed to take control of my office and
work load.
In January, I spent three days with Vicki Norris of Restoring
Order®.
She started by telling me that it IS possible to design my life to
support my values, and proceeded to list the priorities I was
sharing with her. She interviewed me about my goals, my job
description, my causes of disorder, my time management, and my
work style. Using this background, Vicki guided us through a
process that left me with several systems that help me manage my
workload.
In three days, my office was a totally transformed place. I had a
place to process paper, instead of letting it pile up on my desk.
My filing system was defined and created. I began to see my
desktop, my conference table, and the floor. I had a system for
managing client, firm, and personal projects. I even came away
with an index of every file in my office. In the process, I
learned from Vicki how to handle, and make decisions about, paper.
I've never come into tax season feeling so good. I know exactly
where everything is, I can make better use of my support staff,
and I can spend more client time than administrative time. I have
determined to institute little morale builders each day for me and
my staff. I can still see the top of my conference table. Each
evening, I round everyone up at a reasonable hour, and we all head
for home, even during tax season."

"As an anniversary present to my husband, I
decided to hire Restoring Order® to tackle my master bedroom closet. During the intake
assessment phase with Vicki Norris, I discovered that I felt
out-of-control as a result of my chaotic closet. After
reviewing the contributing factors to how my closet became so
messy, I started to see that it wasn't just my lack of upkeep,
it was that other nomadic items were living there that didn't
belong. Vicki pointed out that my bags of paper in the
closet indicated that I must not have a home office space
elsewhere in the house. It was a revelation to me, as I had
never stopped to consider WHY my closet became a landing spot
for other items. We got busy sorting and purging my closet
contents by type, and later chose "zones" where types of items
would live. Now, I know right where to go to find which type
of clothing, and I know where to return the item after I've
worn it. I haven't missed what I purged because, working with
Vicki, I realized that I hadn't let go of anything since the
eighties! I am able to walk into my closet now, and easily
maintain it. I can see the floor to vacuum it, and, best of
all, I've eliminated that out-of-control feeling. I appreciate
that Vicki didn't just "tidy up" my space, but helped me
figure out how the mess originated, and set up a sustainable
system built around my needs."
