  • Lighten Up the Green Way!
Have the holidays (or just years of accumulation) left you with "overage"? Overage is simply too much stuff...and it's clogging up your life!

Would you like to let go of this "deadwood" congesting your space but hate the thought of feeding the landfills?

Good news! Vicki has advice for you, featured in The Portland Tribune's Sustainable Life section:Time for Some Green Spring Cleaning. Vicki guides you through letting go of almost anything: from paper to electronics to packing material to furniture and books!
  • Get Real and Get a Breakthrough
If you're starting a new year just as disorganized as last year, it's time to get real. That's right. The glossy magazines and quick-tip gurus aren't going to tell you that. They're just going to push you to buy more bins to "containerize" your stuff.

But organizing is about a lot more than the products and tricks. If you're ready to take back your life, begin by embracing organizing as a lifestyle, not shortcuts.

So, save some money on bins and baskets this year. Trade in the marketplace version of "organized" for a realistic, daily practice of order...and you'll be on your way to a breakthrough!

It’s Time to Reclaim Your Life®

Life really is simple. It’s about knowing your priorities, putting first things first, and living with no regrets. That’s it.

All too often, we let our stuff control us and we become enslaved to it. We let it clog, choke, and cheat us out the life we were meant to live.

I invite you to join me in the ongoing process of “restoring order” to your life. With commitment, you can discover and enjoy your dream life!
  • Kitchen Counters Layered with Paper?
If the daily mail tends to land (and get stuck on) your kitchen counters, it’s time to make a change!

TIP: Collect all loose paper and “prune” out anything that can be shredded or recycled. Then sort the remaining items by the action required. Now label these action items using verbs (to do, to read, to pay, to file) and you’ll be ready to tackle incoming paper.

Need a good product to manage the mail? Our stylish Action Center® was created to make processing incoming mail a breeze!
  • Organizing Mistake #3 - The Cleaning Cure-All
The “Cleaning Cure-All” mistake is when we substitute cleaning for organizing. Cleaning simply de-grimes your living space, while organizing requires planning and space allocation to activities and items. Cleaning can actually create clutter, since we hide things as we clean in order to get to the surfaces.

SOLUTION: Take the time to organize your home and it will be easier to clean when surfaces aren’t clogged with clutter.

For more on how to avoid the 6 common organizing mistakes, see Vicki’s book Reclaim Your Life®
